Seattle Horizon Books is excited to begin hosting Sober Artist Meetups every other Sunday

Sunday, Jan 13, 2019 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Seattle Horizon Books is excited to be working with local Seattle and Northwest author Wesley Irwin to provide space for Sober Artists Seattle, a group for is for sober artists who wish to work in a safe and comfortable space (Capital Hill's Horizon Books) on any kind of art they choose (bring your own medium) and receive helpful feedback by other sober artists (if asked for).
Wesley Irwin is the author of King Tiny Hands, the first book in The Adventures of Aleia series, is the story of a brave young girl named Aleia, who sets sail across the Puget Sound and encounters a rude and obnoxious boy with orange skin, who appears to be on an island all alone. The childrens story is illustrated by Ryan Henry Ward, local muralist and street artist.
This Meetup will be whatever the collection of artists create organically. If you want to collaborate with other artists you can do so. If you wish to share your individual expressions then you can. If just want a quiet place to work on your writing, painting, or other creation, come as well!
After brief introductions we will get to work on our respective art, work roughly 60-75 minutes, then have time for sharing and feedback upon request. Please bring your own materials to create what you please. Sober Artists Seattle meets at Horizon Books on Capitol Hill which is on the same block as Nuemos if you need a landmark. Just follow the signs on the street, down the ramp walkway and you're there. Looking forward to creating with you!
The meetups are on Sunday evening, every other week, 7-9pm.
